Was noodling last night and come across this coin.
Any ideas if its an error or just been hit with a foreign object.

Someone posted some similar coins some months ago and I think the consensus was that they've been hit with something.

There has been discussion of this type of damage before.
No one figured out exactly where it comes from, but it was decided that this is post mint damage, probably from some type of coin handling machine.
I have a few of these ones now too.
