chrsmat71 Pillar of the Community United States 4980 Posts	Posted 08/02/2014 5:05 pm finally got a western satraps coin Vijayasena AR drachm 17mm 2.3g o: bust of vijayasena, corrupt greek legend, date behind. 242 AD (162 saka era) r: hill and river with sun and crescent moons, Brahmi legend "Rajno Mahaksatrapasa Damasenasaputrasa Rajno Mahaksatrapasa Vijayasanasa" i believe this says something to the effect of..."son of king and great satrap damasena, king and great satrap vijayasena" thought this may appeal to other weirdos like myself that dig indian coins. They often have multiple strikes (the one I had was struck 3 or 4 times). I never had much luck researching mine - couldnt get legends, kings - barely even found info on the civilisation.
