Bobby, a thought has knocked me on the noodle... We have : ' General Numismatic Discussions (Non Country Specific) ' - US and World Coin Grading Pratice Forum - Third Party Grading Company Forum (TPS's) - Coin Photography Forum - Token, Medal, and other Exonumia Forum - Contest, Quiz, and Giveaway Forum - Numismatic News Forum - Member Coin Articles Would it be possible to add a forum just for 'Coin and Currency Supplies' questions/answers/information? I have myself as well as others asked questions about supplies and some are the same questions and answers. This forum would eliminate the same questions already asked, as well as finding the answers easily.

I wonder if just a sticky in the main coin forum would provide what Mila_Cent is suggesting? I confess that I haven't seen a lot of questions/discussion on this particular topic, though I haven't really been looking for it, either.

Actually I am reading a numismatic book right now, "Illegal Tender - Gold , Greed, and the mystery of the lost 1933 Double Eagle" and it is worthy of a good read, and discussion.

How about this: Coin Community Forum's Frequently Asked QuestionsThis section is dedicated to the common questions asked by new and old members. Coin Supplies, Reference Material, Cleaning(Don't do it ), where to find, etc. PS. did you know there's a Coin Facts section already here? Look left  Edited by tights24

Tighe, I see US Coin Facts. This is about coins. Nothing about supplies, books, etc. Your "Coin Community Forum's Frequently Asked Questions" title is much better then mine. Thanks, mila_ |

Hi Mila, yeah, I know. Just thought I'd throw that in there since I can guarantee you if this type of section would be put into the forum, basic coin questions would be asked there as well..... In my opinion, all of this information can already be found by doing research here anyway. But people want answers and they want them quickly, so instead of wasting their own time, they post the question without ever looking back even two days. Just not sure this would solve the problem, but it may be worth a shot for a litle bit.... quote:

I think a combined area for Books/Supplies is an excellent idea.  Now, we just have to see what Dad has to say. I have all the say in our sales, so I can't tread on his toes where the forum is concerned. |
