I do not have this coin yet but keeping my fingers crossed that it might be high relief five cent nickel. Here are some scans I had to work with.The last one I cropped to make it much bigger.

Nope you have a low relief . Get a 1951 commemorative five cents and stare at both of them. Then wish the commem obverse on your steel piece. All the 1751-1951 nickel five cents are HI relief obverse.

When "A points to denticle" is making you bug-eyed, look to the I in VI, if it points directly at a denticle you have a high relief, when it points to the right of a denticle as yours does, it's low relief. There are many markers for varieties not mentioned in Charlton's, often for reasons related to copyright.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...
