Was noodling today and found this 2 dollar. It is defiantly a miss-strike but unsure about the clipping. Have done best to take photos with my phone and magnifying glass combo. Let us know what you guys think.

Cheers in Advance.

What I think you have there is a counterfeit $2 coin, which are well known for 2003. The 'spaghetti' hair is the dead give away for me.

Have a look here:

I have 2 of these, both found whilst noodling.

Once again thanks Nevol for the reply and great explanation/articles.
Very interesting to know there are counterfeit coins in circulation.
Apon further inspection I did notice the poor detail all over the coin and its milled edges also poor quality.

Thought I had found my first clipping

I've been watching my change for one of these, for several years - without much success.
Judging by the previous articles on CCF, and the pics with them, I think the give away is the effigy of "Neville" on the verso - a bad case of hydrocephalous ?
