Don't forget, they are only ¾ oz so even $1240 is way overpriced.
Nothing like a $300 profit.

One of the TV coin hawkers is selling the CLAD Kennedy 50th Anniversary set with grades of SP68 for $999.99, and their SP66 set is for sale at $499.99, they are labeled as FDOI. Talk about markup! This is the $9.99 set from the Mint.

welder- I saw those too. There are some on ebay like that. I had to do a double take to make sure that they were indeed the coins from the $9.99 set. Insanity.

They had the clad kits on ebay the same day they went on sale for over $100. Those were $10 nickel-copper coins. Some people have more money than patience, I suppose.

"Raw coins are IN HAND - Should have PCGS graded on 8/9"

So, they aren't even graded yet. what does he do if they don't get a 70?

When I saw this I thought of two words to describe it. The first is "Pathetic", and the second one involves a really bad cuss word.

Right now I guess I'm more sorry for the sap that paid more than 3 times the value of gold for the coin.

If this were not a child friendly board, I'd give my opinion on what I think about $4,799.99 each.

Did you guys see the fine print, which makes this even more obscene and shameful?

"This is a pre-sale. I do have these coins in hand. They have been submitted to PCGS already. I should have them back as soon as Saturday 8/9. As soon as I have them back, I will be shipping them out to you."

So the PR70 label image is a stock photo, the coins haven't been graded, and for all he knows the coins could come back a 68.

Unfortunately, it's even worse than 3x. It's a 3/4 oz coin and gold is $1313 an ounce as I type this. That means there is $985 worth of gold sold for $4800. That's a hair under 5x the bullion price.
