Dear Sean, We're writing to tell you about an important announcement we've made concerning ebay policies and standards for seller performance. ebay is taking steps to protect the interests of good sellers like you and the consumer's overall experience on ebay. First of all, we assure you that your current level of performance exceeds the standards. Congratulations and thank you. Sellers are expected to perform in a manner resulting in a consistently high level of buyer satisfaction. If, over a 90-day period, a seller's interactions with buyers result in greater than a 5% level of buyer dissatisfaction as evidenced by negative/neutral feedback and/or Item Not Received complaints, that seller will be considered in violation of ebay's Seller Non-Performance policy. Note we're currently not including Detailed Seller Ratings in the enforcement of this policy since they're so new to the marketplace. As a seller in good standing, you're well aware that buyer satisfaction is vital to your continued success -- and the continued success of ebay. Thank you for your solid track record and continued commitment to good customer service. We're confident that enforcing this policy will go a long way to keeping ebay a great place to buy and sell for you and for all our users. Sincerely, ebay Trust & Safety

FRAUD!! ebay and PayPal will NEVER send you e-mails like that with "links" to the main site for you to loggin and "fix" any problems forward them to spoof@ebay.com and spoof@paypal.com IF you do click on one look at the web address that it is sending you to. some are https://www.eabyinfo.com and other odd similarities to the original

ebay doesn't have a username " ebay" if the message does not show up in your message box within your account it is 100% fake. I have seen some so real looking that I actually clicked on one and "logged in" to the fake site. I very quickly changed my password though.

That's what I'm saying though. I got this in my ebay message box. I realize emails can look very convincing/official. I just want to make sure they can't do the same on PMs to my ebay account. The account name is " ebay", sent directly to my ebay account.

Actually I got the same message in my in box on fleabagBay too. It looks legit to me. It is not requesting information or a login to anything, it is just explaining their new selling policy. Frankly it doesn't rattle my cage that much, I buy more than I sell on fleabagBay anyway.

Have you thought about contacting ebay through there chat line? I know they have one toward the top of their homepage(?). You could contact an ebay employee and ask if it is legitimate.

Just to clarify, you do not get an email, this is just a notice/message when you go into your "My fleabagBay" page. There are no clickable links etc. in it. It is just a generic thou shalt etc. note from the fleaBags. Mine didn't say Dear Sean though, something more along the lines of Dear Jose Cuervo or something.
