okay.... I have no idea if this is a really odd error, or just coincidentally placed damage. Regardless, honest abe has talons...feedback please!

One is PMD.

Several from different sources is a variety.

Looks like the edge of a coin with a reeding (dime or quarter) struck Lincoln's foot and transferred the reeding design to his foot. So, just PMD, but it does look kind of cool.

Doesn't the "E" and "P" look like a DD in the top photo or is it just the lighting? And if it is a DD wouldn't that make "claw foot" seem more legit?
