I am researching a piece that I believe to be a companion to the spoon pictured below. This was auctioned at Heritage Auctions in September of 2005.

I've searched everywhere and have only been able to find one image. All search engine results returned are for the same auction.

ANY help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I'm not sure what you are asking for, but maybe you can find useful information here: http://spoonplanet.com/coin.html

Commems,

Thanks for the link. I have researched that site and many, many others to no avail. I am looking for any information regarding production numbers and rarity. The posted example is number 11. Mine is number 1. I've also researched the manufacturer's (Gorham) silver pieces with no luck there either.

Since these two pieces sold for $920 in Sept 2005, I'm quite interested in knowing what my piece might be worth.

Thanks,

Your spoon has the NY seal at its top rather than the PA seal like the one in the photo has. That is why your spoon has a different number -- it is a different spoon. I can answer any questions you might have about this spoon.
