Hi There,

I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light on this coin for me. I haven't been able to find it anywhere!

The obverse shows what I believe to be a portrait of Carol V

The reverse shows a fleur de lis, as well as what I believe to be a templar cross.

The only text that I can PARTIALLY make out is as follows (And I'm not sure if I'm reading it properly as it's very worn

Obverse: ARAGO CAROL V
Reverse: MAICRICA (I think)

Any information on the coin and idea of value would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
phoenetics

If you post pictures, please take two seperate photo's, each a little bit less than 100k.
So you can post bigger pictures.
Templar coins do not exist because the templar had no money.
They protected the money of royals when it was transported.
Crusaders coins do exist.

Good hint Phil!
It is not CAROL V, but
CAROLVS II R ARAGON Carolus secundus rex Aragon
