I'm puzzled by this coin - diameter 19mm 1.61g. Probably brass.

I can't see a date and why has it been scored on one side - for a half denomination, perhaps ?

I've tried enlarging the image but some detail may have been lost:

Thanks very much.

I've never had a token from Turkey before, moreover my great-uncle Charles was living in Istanbul around 1913.

Unfortunately, the website http://userwebs.psknet.com/tbirde/t.../Medals.html quoted in another similar topic has disappeared.

Yep, it's a Turkish bridge token, face value 20 para for the Galata Bridge in Istanbul. Apparently they "circulated" in Istanbul to an extent as unofficial 20 para coins during WWI and in the period following the collapse of the Ottoman Empire.
