Hi I got this Type 1 Dateless SLQ. I am having a hard time determining if it is 1916 or 1917. I know it is most likely a 1917, but I couldn't see the split hair on the head. Please chime in. Thanks!

Strong shield rivets = 1917.

Plus they didn't make any SLQ's anywhere except Philly in 1916.

I wasn't aware they only minted the 1916 in Philly.

Yeah, I fell for this a while back too, picked up an S-mintmarked T1 that had a crap strike which confused me and I didn't see the S-mintmark until I got home. Oops.
