Lindasuetter: to the CCF!

The coin pictured is a
billon jittal, of the
Sultans of Delhi, (1206-1526).
Billon is a copper / silver alloy, with less than 50% silver.
'Jittal' is the denomination.

These coins are surprisingly cheap to obtain, despite their great age.

Wikipedia 'sultans of delhi' can provide some good information of this period of the history of Northern India.

Petrus,
That's an interesting site, however what fascinates me even more is that it won't allow me to bookmark the site or view the page source.

Does anyone know how that's done ?

Pertinax: It is a cheap java script trick, (sorry, I hate Java Script and think it, next to flash, is the bane of the web because they both are used so poorly). If you want to, there is a plugin in Firefox called noScript that will allow you to block script on the page. I use it all the time for security. Websites I trust can run JS, ones I don't get blocked.
