I am a creature of habit so to be truthful going from Shield nickels to Moderns was difficult at first. Now I kinda like it! Challenging in the sake of errors yes but as far as cheap proofs go it is a win win. I bought about 40 or so Wartime Nickels for cheap and a couple Unc/BU rolls. I found some possibly cool 2011 D Nickels. I had a bit of bad luck and demolished my magnifier so bare with me. I like the soft bluish hue of the the far left nickel. Also, seems to be a bit more defined. The middle nickel I just used as a back to square one coin and the far right nickel seems to maybe have some doubling on Jefferson's home...odd thing is I took a road trip to visit it not too long ago! Anyway, every person should go out of their comfort zone every so often so I'll see where this leads

Many people don't like the Jefferson nickels which is why they are not a biggy of values. However, there are some things to do with Nickels that makes it interesting. One of the Albums I made is using a blank cover and many pages for Nickels from Whitman. Up to 10 pages will fit. Then starting with Shield, then Liberty Head, then Indian Heads and then Jefferson nickels. You have to leave out Proofs though to make room for all of them. Also, need to leave out stuff like over dates, 3 legged Buffalo, etc. Becomes a sort of Type set of Nickels. To add info or dates you would have to try Whitman for their press on numbers/letters.
Or you could use blank covers of any kind and put all your present Nickel pages in one big Album.
Making an Album of all Jefferson nickels without Proofs too would make for an easier Album to finish and not have to spend lots of money just to buy Proofs. Again, one reason I like Whitman Blank covers and pages.
Only bad thing about Whitman today is they are made in (Guess Where) China of course.

Following in this vein, one of the most impressive albums I've seen is from a member of a diff. forum.
He has a near complete collection of '45 RPMs in XF+. He keeps threatening to publish, I believe that would be huge. However, it's something he's been kicking around for 30 yrs.
