I found this one in a collection I got today!

Doubled stars, nostril, eye and lip.....

This-VAM-Has-Got-It-All!

Doubled letters on the reverse.....

This-VAM-Has-Got-It-All!

A nice broken "D" on the reverse.....

This-VAM-Has-Got-It-All!

Incredibly doubled letters (look at that "R") and a widely doubled "LIBERTY".....

This-VAM-Has-Got-It-All!

Anyone care to venture a guess as to the Date and VAM?

Scroll down for another clue.....

This-VAM-Has-Got-It-All!

Got it yet? I'll post the answer with full pics after a few responses. Thanks for playing!

Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding!! We have a Winner!! Good Job!

That's a pretty easy one to VAM out.... it took all of about 5 minutes with the book for me to find it. I've got others that I've spent hours on and haven't been able to find a VAM for (like some of those pesky 1878 S's).

Anyway, here's the Obv. and Rev. pics of the coin.... It's one of my favorites!

I guess I should have let others chime in on this coin because 1878 Morgan VAM's are my forte'. I would have liked to see what others said it was but I couldn't resist, I didn't even see the reverse picture when I determined what VAM it actually was, I was editing my response from just 1878 to 1878 VAM-38 when I actually saw the reverse pic. I am sure some people saw this thread and saw my response and know that I am a 1878 Morgan guy and just didn't respond because of that, so next time I will sit it out on the 1878 Morgans until there are some other responses

That broken D is unique - it alone was enough to attribute.
