I thought this was a nice looking coin. Supposedly it was in a problem free NGC MS61 slab and was sold on Heritage last year for $470. Buyer cracked it out and ended up selling it raw to the gentleman I bought it from. I liked $150 price far more than $470. http://coins.ha.com/itm/colonials/1...type=NGC1184

Not saying it did not but HA.com does not show any NGC MS61 coins sold?

Technically a Halfpenny. Very nice coin and yes..you scored that coin for $150.
I would have paid that twice easy.

Like me, you probably searched for "Woods Hibernia." Apparently, far more of these are listed on Heritage just as "Hibernia."

Looks good to me. Are you planning to get it back into a TPG holder?

That is an amazing price for this coin. Buying them for $50 or less in F and/or with problems is a challenge!

thanks for your replies. I am not sure about resubmitting this coin. Would NGC charge a full grading fee for a coin they already graded?

Very nice halfpenny!
A similar one, although in much, much lower condition is what started me on US colonials.

Like Conder said, yes. It's been cracked out so it's a raw coin.
