Opinions on grade? "Value"? Thanks!

Oh, and I think it is "reverse of '97 with stems", is that right?

Obverse 3, reverse 2... toughie, but I'll say 2. Value? I have no idea.

Probably AG-03. A decent example for a 7070 set.

AG-03, an old obverse gouge, surfaces are a bit granular but a nice color. Worth approximately $100.

Personally, I would look for a slightly nicer example and spend a bit more (closer to $150).

I would grade this Ag03, with the obverse compensating for reverse weakness. Not able to attribute the variety as my books are not now with me.

S-126. You can tell by the two die breaks in the right obverse field.

I'm a little higher. Obverse G4. You have remaining dentils a solid eye and mouth and full date. Reverse AG3. However some of the wear could be from a weak strike. Overall I'll net this at G4. Most likely details due to the obverse hit at 10 o'clock

It was sold to me as "good''. It was a bit of an impulse purchase, so I didn't check photograde first. I agree with the above comments about maybe waiting for a better example at say $150. I paid a little under $90.

Thanks for the type (s-126). Do I have it right that it is with stems and the reverse of 1797?

The grey sheet has it at $55 in AG and $110 in good, but numismedia has it at like $200-300 in good, why the dramatic variation?

It did notice that anything graded, problem free, seems to be $300-$500 up even in good for draped bust cents in the 1700s..

I might want to try for a 1796, any advice?
