I don't collect Austalian coins per se, so grading them most certainly isn't my forte. I picked this one up today priced at melt (no premium). I rather like this date in U.K. and commonwealth coinage owing to it being the last year "IND IMP" (or in some instances, "IMPERATOR" fully spelled out) appears in the legends, as by 1948, King George VI had ceased to be emperor of newly independent India.
