What is this? I think it says 1809. I know nothing about this type of coin. Paid $5 at a flea market just now

Cant be 1808 or 1809.

It is a Large Cent and Draped Busts stopped in 1807.


Give me clearer pics and I will give you the attribution.

What about a soak in acetone? It looks like it has layers of filth on it. Maybe I could see date better. Is def 08/09 maybe 😊

It is definitely an 1802. Nice buy for $5. Worth at least triple that.

I'm a copper collector. Don't soak it, leave it alone. It's definitely an 1802 LARGE CENT! Price, good question. I'd say $30 - $60. Any attempt to try to make this coin look better will only end up making it look worse.

If I had an album I would lol. I only bought it because he asked for $5. So, not even an acetone bath would help?
