Question About The 1942/41 Mercury Dime Overdate

zxcccxz Pillar of the Community Canada 5417 Posts	Posted 08/31/2014 04:17 am There's plenty of Mercury at my LCS in the scrap silver bin. I found a 1926-D in AU last month. Usually they're VF's though and you'll find mostly the 30's and 40's in there. Finding a 1942/1 Mercury dime is extremely unlikely though. It's the most sought out Mercury dime Variety. It'd take a very stupid, inexperienced and ignorant dealer to let one through. We've had a case of a 1916-D Lowball that was let through on CCF before though. But again, it's an extremely rare case.
