This 2014 Great Smoky Mountains National Park Quarter has a perfect ring running the entire circumference of the quarter face, through the type. Has the "D" mint mark. I was wondering if anyone has seen anything like this or has any information? Thanks.

bazookajoe to CCF

That is just a regular coin that happened to be a end coin of a roll that got scratched by a coin paper wrapping machine.

They call the Post Mint Damage or PMD

Its common and adds no value

Nice to have you here...This is a good place to be right in middle of the world of coins... BTW a good portion of us here asked that same question when we first joined .

Any questions on any type of coin IMHO this is the friendliest place to ask.

Note those coin rollers are known to be indiscriminate leaving there marks on common coins as well as nice varieties. Thanks, Doug.
