Well my bank didn't get the stack of 2s again this time but had 3 in the drawer (sequencial), and I went to another bank that said they had some halves. They had $160 worth of them! So I to them all and sadly most have marks where someone was writing in PEN the count of them in increments of 2 and circling that number. So lots of ruined bills, meaning I got no 2009 series worth keeping, but found something strange none the less.

1st bank lot of $6
1976:
E39959992A ~ E39959994A
all 3 in sequence

The strange part comes next from the $160 from the other bank...

1976:
E39959972A ~ E39959980A

9 in sequence

11 bills missing otherwise both bank had a BIG run of the same 1976 sequence?

but wait there is more from the same $160 lot...

1976:
E31137649A ~ E31137665A

17 in sequence again? What are the odds of finding that many from 1976 in sequence just sitting in a bank teller drawer, well 3 drawers at 2 banks crisp series 1976?

2013:
F16188550A ~ F16188551A

2 in sequence and my first 3 2013 series!

Interesting to find the 1976 notes. Based on the S/N I presume the bank is located in the Richmond area. Seems like a regional bank had an old lot they decided to distribute. Perhaps upon request you can get more of them.

I tried getting a pack, but nobody could get them in my area. Seems nobody wants to deal with them, but I might try again when these run out. Wouldn't be worth anything to anyone would it since I already have 12 1976 that I have been trying to "upgrade" some E with the missing letters A~L for a set of all the banks from 1976.

Could someone have cut an uncut sheet? Would anyone cut an uncut sheet? I am just currently dumbfounded except for the ones written on what to do with them, because I would prefer NOT to spend them in case someone might want them in sequence. If it was a coin, I would throw it back without blinking an eye, but a bill I don't want and someone else might I don't want to see written on or such to devalue what someone else might find interesting.

The 1976 two dollar bills are worth a premium.

So I should find someone to sell them to and not spend them so that someone really interested in having some in sequence will have best looking ones rather than some cashier marking all over them in ink or pencil?

Was talking with my friends who work as tellers where I used to work, turns out they have 500 twos in their drawers. Who knows from when!
