Pennies. Cheap, reliable (for me), and a lot of fun when you find a wheat.

I don't do a lot of coin roll hunting these days, but pennies are my favorites. I always set aside the pre-82s .. they may have some value some day. With that perspective, there's success in every roll!

I have been putting together a King George nickel set because Canada stopped minting pennies. Nickels all the way (now).

I would hunt pennies if not for how long it takes to spend them after getting them, so halves mostly for me since I have all current quarters and don't expect to hit a silver jackpot any time soon.

Dollars is missing from the list.

Many banks don't carry half dollars. If that's the case, ask the vault teller to order a box ($500). You don't have to buy them all at once.

I roll-hunt all denominations, with cents being the most often and quarters the least often.
