bobby131313 Forum Dad United States 24174 Posts	Posted 08/29/2014 12:41 am In some rural areas where the delivery person is a sub-contractor that is not a postal employee, all packages are scanned at the PO as delivered as they are loaded into the sub-contractors vehicle. Yokozuna Pillar of the Community United States 4618 Posts	Posted 08/29/2014 01:45 am I had a buyer try to scam me on a coin. UPS showed that it was delivered but he said he didn't get it. It was insured but the guy just wanted a free coin. I called UPS and they told me to contact the police in his area. I sent him a message that I was contacting his local police department, with the address and phone number of the closest PD to his house and, what do you know... it somehow just "showed up" on his porch the next day. Yes, it is especially more expensive coins. Even if you have insurance. If it is not registered mail, expect a $15 max insurance payout. I just had USPS lose a coin I sold. Now I am out the money and the coin. They say if it is not able to be delivered it is destroyed. We know where the silver coin went, into someone's pocket.
