Hi all! I am new here and would like to ask for your opinion regarding this silver medal. Struck upon the signing off the New Start treaty between US and Russia. Presidents met in Prague, Czech Republic, in 2010. The medal bears wrong English name of the treaty. It should have been STRATEGIC ARMS REDUCTION TREATY but they struck REDUCTIONS instead of REDUCTION. I would like to have a clue if this will cause total waste of value (as it relates to the whole series) or can bring some added value. Or value is not changed at all but it indicates that we are all idiots here. It was struck by the official government regulated mint. Mintage was 1000pcs. Please share your opinion.
Regards from Prague!

The Czech Mint website has the gold version spelt the same way. It was a translator's fault, not the die/carver/mint's fault.

As for value? If it is a troy ounce I would say 30-45 Canadian bucks.

Also, yes it is a medal, not a coin. Since it is not a coin you should post this in the exonumia forum. I believe on your side of the pond the term is para-numismatic.

Take some time and introduce yourself in the "Welcome" section, be nice to hear the story of your ownership of this piece and if/what you collect.
Rest in Peace

Lonmore, to CCF. Interesting Medal. Not sure of the value. Lets see what the other members think.

Thank you both for welcoming and response! I bought the medal in one small shop among the small streets of Prgaue old town. I wanted it just for memory. Strange that no other coins or medals were struck upon this event. At least I couldn´t find anything. It could become valuable if this Treaty weren´t fulfilled. So I hope it will remain valueless :-) But I insist that it is unpardonable to make such a mistake. Moreover, the mint hasn´t responded to my query.
I will tell a bit about myself in "Welcome" section, thx for hint.
