Nonferrous, possibly cupro-nickel. From the style of the bus depicted, I'm thinking this dates back maybe as far as the 1930's?

I collect transit token mostly from the 30's. Most of them seem to be dime sized around that date. My dealer sells them for .25 apiece in his junk box. Nice find though, I would had definitely picked it up, I live in Indiana, and see a lot of Indianapolis Railways tokens. I'm kinda a hoarder of that stuff.
