So I go into an Antique Mall looking for some US coins that I needed and saw these and had to have them. What makes people do things like this? Is it the beauty of the coins? Is it such an attractively low price that we can't resist? I don't know. What I do know is that these coins are beautiful, my pictures don't do them justice at all. From the bronze cent to the nickel one dollar coin electro plated with the bronze/nickel giving it an attractive gold color and back to the other coins that are nickel they are just all stunning!

I love mint sealed set too. I tried to collect all sets from 1961 which is the first year this kind of set was made, but not filled yet. Unfortunately mint just put circulation quality coin in the sets since 2011, and still mark them as pretty high price.

About the first thing that struck me about these coins was the quality of the strikes....faultless! Too bad they changed their standards of packaging mint sets.

edit: Another thing I noticed was that all the coins except the cent and the 5 cent are magnetic.....different.
