The grades from my latest submission were just made available online and I am not happy to say the least. Is there any way possible for a coin to be reconsidered before they ship it back to me? I am not a professional grader by any means but I can tell the difference between MS62 and MS64....

There's no harm in asking. Some of heavy hitters in the industry can get it done but whether or not you or I can is questionable. Do you have any pics of the coin?

I have heard of mistakes being taken care before the coins were shipped back.

Time to make a phone call as soon as possible.

I much prefer to grade my own, sometimes with the assistance of PCGS Photograde, for U.S. coins. Saves me having to worry about what grading result I may get for my U.S. coin.
An exception is, that if you want to sell a high grade high value coin, where the slabbing fees are justified, and are not a large proportion of the selling price.

TPG's are of much less importance with other than U.S. coins, and especially so, when sold on other than the U.S. market. I guess that it comes with the 'territory', if you are interested in coins of ALL centuries and countries, as well as coins of the U.S.

Have a look at the auction catalogs of British coin auctiuoneers for other than U.S. coins. None of them are slabbed.

I doubt they would agree to do it, but you never know. However, I think I would save the reconsideration fee, crack them out and try again. In my limited but very recent reconsideration experiences, it is really tough. I am about 1 for 8 on reconsiderations.
