I think us coin collectors can all relate to certain aspects of coin collect the general public may not understand. Why not share these experiences through memes!

My dad,an old Scottish-Prespatarian, when he found out what I payed for a 1925 small cent he ran into his room, pulled out his penny jar and said "Here is a ****** deal, I will sell you everyone of these ****** pennies for the low, low price of 10 bucks a pop, you dip****".

Come on guys, I am sure you all have memes tucked away on your hard drives!

In the 1970s in the UK, the standard cost of a phone call from a payphone (remember those?) was 2p, so many people kept aside a few 2p coins for phone calls. One day I was showing my coin collection to a non-numismatist friend.

He asked me "What's that huge copper coin?"

I replied "It's a 1797 twopenny piece."

He replied: "Good God! How on earth would you get that in the slot in a payphone?"

It is Arkie, I couldn't even get close enough for spell check.

This one isn't coin collecting per se but it does feature a 1947 wheatie and got me laughing so I will included it.

You know what, I optimized it and it wouldn't work, their seems to be no rhythm or reason to how to post pictures, here is the link...........
