What tips do you have for getting the 2x2 plastic wrinkle free? I'm still new at this and any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I just picked up some of the cardboard and plastic 2x2s that you keep coins in....here let me get a scan:

I've had a couple of coins sent to me and the plastic over the coins is nice and smooth. However, when I close the ones I bought it's all wrinkly...is there some special technique to getting the wrinkles out?

G'day, I'm not certain that I fully grasp your problem. But, I'll try to assist ...
first, make sure that you've got the transparent "plastic" on the inside, not the outside, after you've folded the holder.
Second, make sure that you're using the most appropriate size of holder for the coin.
Here in Oz, all of our holders are imported. Most brands describe them by the size of the aperture. The sizes go from 15.0 to 40.0mm, in increments of 2.5mm. Sometimes the most obvious size of holder is too tight, so I move to a size up.
hope that this helps

If you don't mind me asking, do you use stapled or self-adhesive 2x2 coin holders?
Because there are a few issues with self-adhesives that you probably need to be aware of.

They're the staple kind. But for curiosity's sake what's the adhesive problem? Toning?

I have found that with the adhesive ones, you still need to staple them..the adhesive does not hold that well.

1) They still need stapling, they just don't adhere well enough at all.
2) When they separate slightly, the glue causes toning - really ugly toning.
3) You pick one up, the adhesive separates, and BANG, your coin falls to the floor!

Just a suggestion art,

I've never been crazy about cardboard.

Try the 2X2 saflips, then you can get the plastic pages and keep them in a 3 ring binder.

Why not give it a shot, it works for me.

I'll have a look at them the next time I go in. I just have some coins that need to be mailed so I was going to send them in the cardboard 2x2s but it looks really wrinkly when they are closed.
