I've found cents that with some serious zinc rot, sort of worse than the coin you have on the left, but not as bad as the coin on the right. Unfortunately I don't have pics, they were dumped months ago.

Ya there can be some pretty bad ones, usually I just put them back in rolls and send them back to the bank!

Question is. When or where is the point of no return? I have seen some that make me question, how could this still be accepted? Not as bad as yours VICK Mostly in the zinc cents 1982-1983.U.S I believe our trusted expert, BadThad  , said to keep the high grade ones because they are getting harder to find. I may be lacking the full information.
