I am very skeptical regarding its authenticity?
What are your thoughts?
An easy fake or a legit curiosity?

It looks real enough to me, but its actually not all that rare. The larger coppers of this design are can also be found quite easily.

The coin is real, but based on it's condition I wouldn't pay any more than $30 for it.

WOW. Hes right! There are several on Vcoins, although better than the 'bay version they are $250-370. How the prices have risen. Go Ancientnoob for getting his back in the day for cheap! Under current prices I would value you the coin right around $100. Maybe I should consider turning mine over in the near future.

If you can get that kind of 'scratch' I would in heart beat !
The type is not very rare and denarii of AP can be had for under $50 in VF+ condition.
Personally I would pass on this one
