Give me a break. that's not even a coin! Looks like part of someone's ear fell off...
Just watch it shrivel away to nothing in 20 years when that exposed zinc begins to rot.

All I can think of is the comment that often crops up when Microsoft's green-squiggled "Grammar Correction" is switched on:
"Fragment. Consider revising."
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

What the? Really? His has to be a hoax or something. All joking aside, if this is NOT legit, PCGS needs to be told about this

It always surprises me when people are confounded by the TPG's grading something like this. How do you determine a grade? By looking for wear on the high points. Does this have high points? Yes. Are they worn? No. OK then it is MS. How are the different levels of MS determined? By contact marks and strike. Now I can agree it might be a little hard to determine striking quality on this piece but I don't see a lot of contact marks so it isn't going to be a 60, 61,or 62. A grade of 63 0r 64 does not seem unreasonable to me.

True, but I think they got the designation wrong. Instead of RD it should be RDZ (since zinc rot has not set in yet).

Guess my point is in all of this...if these things have value...this would not be difficult to "manufacture at home" there is almost no way to prove/disprove it being of spurious origin.

Nobody has mentioned that the seller wants $195 + S/H for this graded piece of metal.

Conder, going by that logic, I can start applying grades to everything. I should go back and label all my knives as MS 68 or better.
You can make an argument for them authenticating this fragment and slabbing it. But to assign it a grade like that? That is a joke.

zxcccxz That one is from NGC not PCGS. Well at least NGC didn't assign a grade.
