I've learned over and over when I jump the gun on what I think is double dies...and not. Let me know what you think. Thx.

I have learned over the years, that trying to decern doubled dies on well circulated wheats is next to impossible, ESPECIALLY on Class 6 doubled dies. Class 1-5 and RPMs are all I look for in those "unsearched" lotts on the bay.

I know...but the opportunity to look with help is fantastic. I took some pics of the reverse too, the ends of the devices are wide and a little separation of the N in ONE. It's neat to look for these.
Also the Eye...doesn't it look like an extra lid...maybe I'm fishing...but I don't mind. Fun.

If you want to hine your skills without spending any money, try what I mentioned in a previous post. Class 9 is the newest form of doubling as it started, I believe, with the single squeeze method used by the US Mint these days. Just look at you pocket change, on the reverse of your cents dated 2004-2008. There are partial doubled columns like this one I have as an example, there are also doubled knees and feet.

I'm thinking the hub was slightly tilted and then snaps into place during the hubbing.
