Hello,

I picked up a photo of this coin at a yard sale on last Sat.

The owner wouldn't sell the coin until I gave her an idea of its value.

Please ID with country and denomination, place a retail value, and comment on its authenticity & rarity.

The weight is 11.60 grams while its oblong measurements are 25.8 mm x 26.7 mm.

The color in this digital picture is very close to the coin's actual color.

Is the coin silver, from the picture it doesn't look like it is? The size indicates that it's a tetradrachm but the weight is light. I believe it is supposed to be Demetrios II Nikator from the Seleukid kingdom second regin 129-125 BC.

It is supposed to be a shekel from Tyre. I am not sure on authenticity.

I was thinking more along the lines of a "shekel of Tyre" replica, taken from a pack of thirty sold as a biblical "Judas' thirty pieces of silver."
