Hello All,

Ive got this coin. Which looks like an Castulo coin from spain. On one side an head and the other side an Bull and two O O below the bull?

I was wondering if someone can give me the determination about this piece?

the weight is 7,58 grams and diameter 22mm

Thanks for your reaction! There are quiet alot of these types. One side head other side bull. They all look the same to me haha. Pretty old coins though.
How did you clean it? or bought it that way? I am soaking them now in water. Maybe I am gonna buy distilled water ...

Hi Vince
If you are soaking it in tap water, take it out and dry it and wait until you have DW. I didn't clean my coin, there is very little in the way of patina and it could not have been improved.

Thanks for your comment. I will take them out them. So normal water is not good for these coins? to soak them..

No, normal water is impure and has minerals which may not be good for the coin.

DW has no minerals, when you soak coins in DW, minerals from the coin leach into the DW, which is why you have to change it on a regular basis.

DI water would have little effect on the coin at this point. I would hit it with a soft bristle brush and then invest in some VerdiCare. Soak it for a few hours and wha-lah.
