I just went to college 2 weeks ago and am already suffering from withdraws. I took pictures of all my coin books in hopes that if I find any coins in change I can check to see if its a hole filler. I wanna try to find a way to get a couple rolls to help my withdraws but its tough without a car. I'm GOING CRAZY WITHOUT COINS

Take some advice from a guy who recently graduated.
Try to forget about coins and focus on your studies and girls in that order.

You will have far less lonely nights and will make enough money in the future to collect any coin you fancy.

Ps don't tell girls in school your a coin collector until you're in a functioning relationship. I've never met a female that had any interest in this hobby.

Wow - unusual - and I've never met a woman that WASN'T interested in coin of some sort! ;)

socceraustin23,

My son is two weeks into college now also. He has not complained of coin withdrawal yet.

BTW, did/do you play soccer? My son did in high school.

I feel you, I was in orientation last week and I felt really tired, when I got back to my room first thing I did was took out a bag of pennies I had left unsearched over the summer. I knew they were in easy reach now that I'm in Canada and I was the one who put it in my room. I haven't touched another roll since Wednesday and I still feel fine. I doubt I could easily get rolls here since I live right in the middle of campus and banks are out of the campus grounds.

Btw I'm a girl and I've met a guy here who collects non-caribou-reverse quarters (what do you call those collectively?).

Speaking of dating and CRHing, back when I was in college I tried to get my (now) wife into the hobby around the same time I started with searching halves. I even searched half of the box to seed one of her rolls with a bunch of silver so I could make a big deal about it when she found them.

My plot failed utterly (I found all of the silvers in her reject pile), but at least I didn't scare her away!
