Hello,

Please grade and give an approx. retail value on this note.

I do not have a photo of the reverse so please do the best that you can.

Do you also agree that it is an 1801 issue date?

I am also really interested in if this note is authentic or not. Please comment on this aspect too.

Please comment on the position of the number 50 in relation to the shield.

Because I am familiar with this series can there be that much variance among these notes with respect to this particular feature?

Please use this PCGS-graded note as a possible reference when commenting:

Does this type of note have various varieties? If so what URL would shed further light on this?

This is a Fourth Issue (1869 to 1875) 50c fractional currency example. This is the only variety for this issue. Price guide lists this note at $60 in VG, $90 in VF and $115 in AU. I don't have any reason to believe the shift in the seal or 50 makes much difference.
