Pair Of 44's, Double? - Coin Community Forum

AMB Pillar of the Community United States 801 Posts	Posted 09/12/2014 11:39 am I wonder if these are doubled? Both are slightly different with notching either in the first 4 in coin "A" and on the second 4 on coin "B". Coin B has the damaged 4 but the notch can still be seen on the 2nd (or last 4). I have question: is the notch in the 4 a normal common feature? I only see it on listings of double dies...I don't find it in common coins. Just wondering? The 005,008,015 and 22 are the four listed on CC. You might check to see if any markers match? Wexler's book doesn't list any 1944-P DDO. (There are probably several listed, just not in the publication. Report this Post to the Staff
