This is my most valuable coin.
Paid $900.00 for it and is currently selling on ebay for anywhere from $1200.00 and up

Lucky bunny!

I have one as well, of the same date, and in the same condition!
When I saw mine at a public auction, I just HAD to put a bid in for it. I was lucky enough to be successful. I have had mine for about 10 years now.

Same weight and diameter as the U.S. Eagle. (I don't have one of those).

Beware of high quality fakes in good gold, that have been struck off low value U.S Eagle donor coins. I believe the U.S. Eagles were stamped with blank dies to obliterate the details, then re struck into Canadian 10 Dollar coins.
Even the details on the fakes can be quite sharp, rather than being a bit mushy as can happen with copies off original coins.

Charles M. Larson's book 'Numismatic Forgery' gives some details on how it was done.

Wow, that's quite the coin, I've been really wanting to get a $5 & $10 set for a while but can't seem to find one in the Low-MS range that isn't overpriced. Lookso like you did well though.

What kind of bugs me about the grading on this coin is that it has some very visible dents/dings on the obverse's bottom. I have a ICCS AU-58 with one minor ding (had to be pointed out to me) but not quite enough lustre to name it MS. I don't mean to compare so harshly but this is what I see. Gold, being very soft, is susceptible to quick damage, which tells me this coin was lightly circulated or dropped by a collector or someone with gloves at the mint. I'm not going to comment on the field because the coin's holder interferes with a good picture.

(I'm not a dealer nor an expert.)
