This coin has a line on the reverse that appears to extend from the reef, going under the E and out the other end. What is it? Looks like it could use a soak due to gunk but think I won't bother.

Actually it looks like there is a particle or hair in the 2X2 going from the E to the M but that line extending from the reef to the E appears like maybe an error.

Better pictures might help.

I am not taking the coin out of the 2x2 and this forum has limits on file sizes. If you can't see it, never mind.

You can leave it in the 2x2 and just crop it out with the image tool here.
Rest in Peace

If it's raised it would likely be a die crack.

Whoa, Bud...come on man. It just looks like PMD without better pics. Just reshoot and crop out the flippy. Better yet...use a third party host like photo bucket and leave it as large as you want.

Without taking the coin out of the 2X2 I will often shake it to move the coin slightly and compare
the questioned article with its new position. I have spotted both tiny particles of dust and unfortunately a minor defect on the coin itself.

The white line going across the M and the E looks like a hair, note how you can see it faintly when it goes off the coin. The black line on the right side of the wreath looks like a scratch.

I noticed the black line, looked like gunk but could be a scratch. I am mostly concerned of the line stemming from the leaf on the reef to the "E".
