Picture is overexposed for a reason.

I dont see that it is over exposed. Not that a digigtal picture can be over exposed. Why do you think the coin looks too clean? Looks like an MS coin to me.

Well...like I said, I wasn't sure. The seller is reputable. Was just looking for opinions. Raw coins are tricky for me.

I think those are die polish lines.
His photos are typically well lit and tend to accentuate surface imperfections.

I'm torn. The presentation turns me off, and he's averaging a Negative a month, but the coin doesn't look too awful bad. My eye is drawn to the eagle's legs, though - it's a hint that I might not be as happy with the coin as planned.

I checked his n.feedback. He has had some people complain about his coins being polished in the negative feedback. Be careful.

I've never had a problem with the coins I've purchased from this seller. I don't think the pictures are meant to deceive, it's just the way they come out for some people.
For the amount of coins that this sellers sells, having one negative per month is amazing IMO.

Quote: I checked his n.feedback. He has had some people complain about his coins being polished in the negative feedback. Be careful. I've purchased from this seller several times and never had a problem. As to the negative feedback anyone can say anything they want and not have to prove it or back it up. Same with bad overgraded misdescribed and complete scam ebay listings which get criticized daily an everyone blames the seller but noone seems to want to believe that there are uneducated buyers and uniformed beginners who are quick to cry wolf and leave negative feedback. For example (although Invitca watches are complee garbage but even amatuer watch collectors already know that) this clown looks at an auction, looks at the pictures, still decides to bid on it and buy it, and then complains. Just goes to show how only ebay cares about the bottom line. That is why I no longer sell on their because it is to easy for a 0 or 1 feedback complete idiot to ruin a reputation you have built over 15 years of selling. And no I would never own or even sell another human being an Invita watch.

This one is a tough call. I think it has probably been dipped. He might have bought it in an old album and it had some kind of haze on it. This is commonly done on 1940 and forward BU Silver. The key thing to look at on this coin are the contact marks of the top part of Washington neck and the eagle's legs. Those paired areas of marks keeps this coin from full GEM (MS-65). Coin would probably grade MS-64 IF it doesn't have hairlines. Since that's possibility that yes they could be there I would buy this coin as BU Silver.
