Would someone know when the albums became coin friendly. When they stopped using PVC in their coin covers.

No general date is available. It all depends on the manufacturer of the Book/Album. Some of them still make Sulfur/PVC Based albums/books/flips.

That is something that possibly no one knows for sure. Many places, such as what comes from China or similar places, may still make things for coins with PVC.
