The coin appealed to me due to its attractive use of symbolism to represent the major geographic regions of Canada. In hand, I find the proof coin to be very attractive. The use of multiple finishes in the gold-plated section really makes the various elements "pop." Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! (c) commems. All rights reserved. I have 1 slot empty for 1/2oz coin... the Nothern Lights with the wolf now doesn't look very appealing for me, but this one ... does. And I like "Canadiana" on the coins. Dcadon Rest in Peace Canada 1360 Posts	Posted 09/28/2014 7:25 pm I purchased this coin too. I put it up beside the ROM coin from earlier this year http://www.mint.ca/store/coin/1-oz....VCiKLvldX9k. They make a stunning display together. I hope they continue with some nice Canadian specific coins - especially without the glitter of jewels or Holograms or paint...
