Received my Celebrating Canada coin today - it was the only one I purchased from the most recent RCM release.

The coin appealed to me due to its attractive use of symbolism to represent the major geographic regions of Canada.

In hand, I find the proof coin to be very attractive. The use of multiple finishes in the gold-plated section really makes the various elements "pop."

Very nice coin, Commems
Thanks for the picture.

I have 1 slot empty for 1/2oz coin... the Nothern Lights with the wolf now doesn't look very appealing for me, but this one ... does. And I like "Canadiana" on the coins.

Thanks!

Nice pictures, cool coin, but it's not my cup of tea.

I purchased this coin too. I put it up beside the ROM coin from earlier this year http://www.mint.ca/store/coin/1-oz....VCiKLvldX9k. They make a stunning display together. I hope they continue with some nice Canadian specific coins - especially without the glitter of jewels or Holograms or paint... I really like the gold plating effect, and it doesn't push the coin out of a reasonable price range.
