I was going through several 1941-p cents looking for the heavier 5.4 gram brass planchet but I instead found one with lighter weight of 2.97 grams and lot of the normal 3.10 grams.
I know there not the heavier peru bass ones
Is that normal?
the lighter one is full struck coin any comments, suggestions, opinions?
Figure in coin wear from circulation, then that would be figured in as well reducing the weight. Ever notice how thin the AG coin look when they have been in circulation for a long time. Also acid dipping can reduce the weight/thickness of coins.
