You'll notice that the extra spread has a flat, shelf-like appearance, whereas a DDO has more body, as it is a part of the die itself. Have you read this yet? dbrablec Pillar of the Community United States 1944 Posts	Posted 09/18/2014 4:35 pm just to be "PC - politically correct", the term is actually doubled die (not double die". the dies have doubled engraving - causing the doubling appearance on the coin. Report this Post to the Staff
