Julia Domna, Heracles, Agenor - Counterfeit/Fake Or Not?

Topcat7 Pillar of the Community 1121 Posts	Posted 09/21/2014 6:17 pm I recently found a seller who listed two coins with WRL on them without acknowledging in the listing that they were 'copies'. Too late for me as I had already purchased some coins. Some members advised me to 'post' images of my purchases when they arrived for 'authenticating', so here is the first of them. Julia Domna (18mm x 15mm, 2.3gm) The next is Alexander the Great coin Nude Zeus with Herakles (18mm, 3.7gm) And the third is Ancient Indo Greek Silver Bust Of Agenor Conquests Of Alexander The Great (16mm, 2.2gm) My question is Authentic or not? The Alexander is very worn but I think it's OK, and Indo-Greek which I believe is Apollodotos II is worn but looks OK also. Anoob is the person that who know more on that coin. Ancientnoob Pillar of the Community United States 5155 Posts	Posted 09/21/2014 7:51 pm I looked at it I was initially thinking it was Apollodotos II but looking at it I am not sure maybe Strato. Its in pretty bad shape I think it will be a a tough call with the the missing name in the obverse legend. The monogram at the 4 o'clock position hints that it might be later than Apollodotos II.
