Seller goldenislescoins had a string of 9 Morgans for sale, and about halfway through the auction they ended it. There were lots of bidders/bids. I'm thinking they got an offer for the whole lot, but can't be sure. Was tempted to send them a sarcastic message, but figured a rant here was better

I think you were right to rant here.
So...the seller had 9 separate auctions going and they all ended at once? Or was it a lot of 9 Morgans in one auction?
Either way, it is odd.

9 separate auctions, and they were all vintage ANACS photogrades. I'm 99.9% sure someone made an offer for the whole lot. It's just wrong.

No, they were NOT ANACS. No, nobody made him an offer. And no, it's not wrong, it's 100% RIGHT.
[It's all my fault] I messaged him that they were AINCS photo certs NOT ANACS and he RIGHTFULLY cancelled the listings.
Email him and tell him you are still interested and he'll repost them properly identified.

This thread is an excellent example of what makes "the internet" continue to "tick". You just cant make this stuff up.

BStrauss3, OK, nice job. I hadn't looked that closely at the items, but they sure looked like ANACS, and I think he had them listed that way. Small world that you would be the one to pick up on it. Glad I hesitated and posted here first.

Reason I knew is I collect 'slabs' and had recently picked up an AINCS example. t
The yellowish color is a dead give-away.

It just goes to show, we should not jump to conclusions when auctions are cancelled early. Sometimes there's a valid reason. People are very quick too jump to wrong conclusion. I'm glad an explanation was provided, and it shows the seller acknowledge the issue and dealt with it.

I love this family! BStrauss3, thanks for keeping an eye on things. It's a big, bad world out there and it's nice that when things go the way they're supposed to go.
