Nice price for that variety even with the corrosion. Often times you cannot see all of the stars in low grade examples.

The buyer paid what it was worth. Not much value other than a filler.

this coin looked like the pics showed under a loupe. Was able to sell it for 38.50 so I guess 1893S was a bit low on his valuation.

Is that your attempt at a dig towards me? Just because you sold it for $38.50 does not mean much of anything other than someone paid $38.50 for a filler.

not sure I would call it a dig but other people who posted were a bit more generous in their comments on the coin. You are not a fan of lower grade and or quality large cents. I get that but I find there is usually a few bucks that can be made if these types of coins are bought right. Most of the coins I buy and post on here are not for my collection. They are for flipping.

I am a fan of all Large Cents. Don't know where you got the idea I wasn't. I call them as I see them. I've collected LC's for a long time and own many from low grade to high grade. I'm not a fan of problem coins and never will be. I wait and save for problem free if at all possible.
