Well, I finally did it. I took the leap into the ancient coins world and I am at a complete loss. I need some help IDing these so I thought I'd ask the experts here at CCF. I bought a lot of 7 ancient coins for 20 bucks so I think my investment was a safe one. If any of you can help to identify these coins it would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to ancient coin collecting. These two coins are Late Roman Bronzes (LRB). Based on the condition which sadly isn't that good I think the first one is the emperor Valentinian I and the second one Constainine II.

welcome to ancients! I'm not sure who your first coin is, but the reverse is "victory advancing left", it would read "SECVRITAS REIPVBLICAE". valens would be a good guess...but who knows.
your second is a left but facing campgate reverse (would read "PROVIDENTIAE CAESS")...i would guess constantius ii?

The third one is easy, it's a memorial issue of the emperor Claudius II.

Thank you echizento! So helpful.
The other coins I was having a hard time getting good pics of. I am very ill prepared to take photos of these coins. My camera just doesn't want to focus. I got a good pic of three of them though. The last one is so worn I don't even know where to take the picture at. Here is the last picture though.

I remember taking the leap to ancients just a few monthS back. As mentioned before these are late Roman bronzes. What helped me get educated on the topic of ancients was regularly perusing through the VCOINS.COM inventoru for stuff. Now without owning too many ancients myself I know a fair bit about them. Wilding is a good reference for specific identification as well.

Good luck

Welcome to Ancient Coin collecting, I beat you to it by a few days! However, and this is just my novice opinion based on my earlier reactions. When buying the possibly fake, inexpensive low cost coins via ebay I was totally disappointed by the few barely visible portraits on the mediocre coins I eventually did receive. Meanwhile I tediously harassed this very patient board with inquiries about RIC and identification. I finally gave up. I wanted real coins, and I wanted coins that I would feel the history when I held them; as a bonus intrigued friends and family. See my new Augustus. So my very novice advice is buy quality and buy from reliable sources.

$20 for them isn't the best deal, but you havent done too poorly - I reckon the whole lot is Identifiable. If you take a picture of the reverses of the 3, we'll probably be able to ID them (the obverse sides arent easy to tell without legends - in this period, the busts are just not distinguishable to that great a degree).
